Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a sung-through musical so there is no dialogue and the entire story is told through song.

The show band will provide live music throughout Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and, because the whole show is sung, the musicians will essentially have no breaks and will be playing the whole time. The band comprises school musicians as well as a few adults and is conducted by Musical Director Georgie Watts. The show band is currently practising by themselves, but they will join with the cast in Term 2.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is full of catchy songs and Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice incorporated a variety of musical styles into the show, including a parody of a French ballad, a country and western number, some Elvis-inspired rock and roll, and a calypso song.

The performances of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will take place 21-24 May 2024. Keep an eye out next term for information about when tickets go on sale.
