Hello everyone, Welcome to the last newsletter of the term!

We have had a jam-packed and exciting term one, filled with many fun activities.

Last week on the Wednesday after Easter we had a Liturgy led by our Junior Special Character leaders, the Special Character Prefects, and Matua Moananu. This liturgy was to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, and we had some great music from our music squad and our school chaplain Father Hook.

On Sunday we had a group of students travel to Gore where we competed in the Catholic Schools Quad Tournament against St Peter’s, St Kevins, and Verdon College. Connecting with old and new friends from these schools. We had teams from Boys football, Mixed Hockey, Netball and Boys’ basketball. The school spirit was high as we watched and supported each other as we played sports.

At the end of Sunday, the four schools joined in a mass at the church of the Blessed Sacrament in Gore. The mass was led by Fr. Sani Lam, the St Peter’s Chaplin. We also had Beatrice read our first reading, Isaac read the Prayers of the Faithful, and Drew White presented the offertory. On Monday after the final few games, the overall winner was announced, St Kevins came in first followed by Verdon then St Peters and finally us.

A big thank you to Mrs Mortimer, Mr Taukamou, and Mr MacKenzie for their staff support as well as Samantha White, Jackery Joseph, Callum Barr, Oli Pali, and Jill Larivee for their coaching.
