Trinity has an updated digital use agreement

Our kaiārahi and ako teachers have been working with our students to introduce our new digital agreement.

Our digital agreement had not been updated for a few years so it was time for a refresh. New factors to take into account includes the arrival of Artificial Intelligence as well as acknowledging aspects of digital use that could fall under the Harmful Digital Communication Act.

We have aligned the agreement with our school values and asked our ākonga to reflect upon the alignment of our values with behaviour in real life as well as online.

Guidelines for appropriate use of aspects of the digital world are included and although we have only begun to tap into the world of AI, we have outlined what is considered authentic use and does not compromise the validity of the student assessment.

We encourage you to read this and discuss with your child(ren). They have not been asked to sign the agreement as such but they are now aware of it and it will become the guiding document for future digital behaviours. A copy can also be found on the school website.
