Y12 PE Surfing Adventures

As part of a new unit this year, our Year12 PE class has just started their 'Learning to Surf' unit.
On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, our Year 12 PE class headed to St. Clair beach for their first surfing lessons.
We struck two windy and fresh days however as always the students showed perseverance and resilience and battled the conditions in their attempts to stand up on the board.
There were lots of students who were successful and managed to pop up despite the gnarly conditions!
We are crossing our fingers for some kinder weather/surf for our next few lessons which span over the end of this term and the start of Term 2.
We are hoping it provides a relevant real life context to connect our skill-learning concepts and biophysical principles for our next assessment.
