Bronze in Maniototo Curling International Doubles

Last weekend Grace and Jayden Bishop competed in the Maniototo Curling International Doubles Competition which attracts the best doubles teams from around New Zealand.

Grace and Jayden went through the round robin, only losing to Bridget and Sean Becker who are previous New Zealand Champs. Sean has competed in previous Olympics. In the semi-finals they lost narrowly to the current New Zealand Mixed Doubles Champs Eleanor Adviento and Brett Sargon, before winning the bronze medal match with a come from behind win.

This is a great start to the curling year. Kavanagh will be competing in the Dunedin schools' curling competition over the winter months and are the current National Girls Champions.

Enrolment for Curling is through the winter sports registration online.
