Our mock election

As it was the most interesting election campaign in a long time we decided to hold a school-wide, mock election in the library.

We had some great resources from the Electoral Commission, everything looked so real, from the ballot papers & ballot box to the  "I just voted" stickers. The rules were strict, the election had to be over by 5:00 Tuesday the 19th September. 7WLF helped man the polls and we had a constant flow of students voting over two lunchtimes. Our results were clear, Labour had a runaway victory in both the electorate and party vote. It was certainly a Youth Quake at Kavanagh
