Otago Art Society Youth Art Awards 2017

Kavanagh College was represented by 20 junior students in this year’s Otago Art Society Youth Art Awards and Exhibition. The artworks included a variety of techniques and themes; self-portrait and still-life paintings and expressive woodblock prints.

Every year selected Kavanagh College students’ artworks are being exhibited at this exhibition. The Youth Art Awards are a great opportunity for junior students to exhibit their artworks in a professional gallery space together with students from other schools.

Kavanagh College did very well this year again. Year 10 student Nadia Uriaro received 3rd place in her category for her woodblock print.
